Please avoid including detailed personal or highly sensitive information in your initial enquiry. We can discuss your concerns safely in our first conversation. Making contact through this website is an initial enquiry only and does not establish a therapeutic relationship. Therapy begins only after an initial consultation and mutual agreement to work together.
We can arrange to meet for an initial consultation. At the consultation session you can talk in confidence about what has brought you to seek counselling and we can think together whether counselling may be helpful for you. I will be happy to answer any of your questions or queries about the counselling. We can discuss practical issues such as fees, sessions times and arrangements for payment, missed sessions and holidays. Occasionally we may decide to have a further meeting before deciding to commit to working together.
I normally see people on a regular once or twice weekly basis. All subsequent sessions last 50 minutes and are scheduled at the same time each week. Psychotherapy/counselling sessions are set times that we both commit to, and therefore, all missed or cancelled sessions will be charged at the usual rate. Online sessions are conducted through zoom.
